With St. Patrick’s Day not far away, you might want to use this special day to motivate young writers. St. Patrick’s day is perfect for getting kids excited about writing.
To help get kids enthusiastic about writing this March, I have created two sets of St. Patrick’s Day Writing Prompts.
Students can write about gold, write about leprechauns, plan a St. Patrick’s Day party or write facts and opinions about Ireland. They can choose their own writing task or your whole group can discuss and write about the same one.
St. Patrick’s Day Writing Quilt
The first collection of writing prompts that I have for you is in my St. Patrick’s Day Writing Prompts Quilt collection.
There are 7 different writing prompts and each comes in two different formats. Your writers write in a quilt square in response to the prompt. Then they color and images and cut out the square. When they are displayed together they create a quilt display.
The pages look like this.
The finished display can look like this.
